Mr. Zhou is the founding partner and chairman of the management committee of RayYin & Partners P.R.C Lawyers. He specializes in financial market, structured finance, trusts, foreign investment, intellectual property rights protection and disputes resolution.

Mr. Zhou has advised many private equity funds in equity acquisition in China. He has also provided legal services to hedge funds in distressed assets acquisition in China. With the profound knowledge in trusts, he helped many trust companies in corporate trust structures.

Mr. Zhou has represented many foreign clients to set up their business in China.

Mr. Zhou has handled many cases involving disputes related to international trade, letter of credit, liquidation of joint venture, syndicated loan, finance lease, construction project, labor contract, intellectual property infringement, product liability and other kinds of tort cases.

Some of the important deals Mr. Zhou has been a team leader includes:

1. advised for EU Delegation in China concerning setting up a clean energy center with the total investment of Euro 20million to support sustainable growth in China through promoting the use of low or lower emission energy technologies, renewable, and energy efficiency improvements;

2. represented and advised AB Credit, a hedge fund under a leading financial institution in central Europe, in acquiring a non-performing loans portfolio released by China Cinda Asset Management Corporation with the total amount of USD 26million including portfolio recommendation, legal due diligence investigation, documentation, negotiation and collection;

3. represented and advised for Glenmore Investment in bidding for five non-performing loans portfolios with the total amount of USD 100 million released by China Huarong Asset Management Corporation, China Orient Asset Management Corporation and China Cinda Asset Management Corporation including portfolio recommendation, legal due diligence investigation and documentation;  

4. represented and advised Xinchi, a subsidiary of a leading financial group in Czech, in acquiring equities of Guangdong Hengfeng Guarantee Company with the total acquisition price of USD 2.5 million including legal due diligence investigation, documentation and negotiation;

5. advised for VisionMedia China, a US listed company, concerning vesting employee stock options for its senior staffs in Mainland China.

6. advised for Fasteners For Retail, a world leading provider of custom and stock merchandising systems and accessories, disputes with suppliers in China.
