Estonia is located in the Baltic region of Northern Europe, north of the Gulf of Finland, between Latvia and Russia. The total area of Estonia is 45,100 km2 and is influenced by a temperate seasonal climate which gives Estonia four seasons of near-equal length. Estonia is a democratic parliamentary republic and is divided into fifteen counties. It has a civil law legal system with no judicial review of legislation acts.
Tallinn is the capital and largest city in Estonia. The city is an important industrial, political and cultural center and seaport with more than 70% of the entire population living in the towns. Besides, Estonia has a thriving information technology sector, well-developed infrastructure and strong trade with Germany, Russia and Sweden, etc. The official language is Estonian; the most common foreign languages are English, Russian, Lithuanian, Swedish, and Finnish.
