"Michael Lintern-Smith is the senior partners of Robertsons, solicitors which is a firm of approximately 30 lawyers based in Hong Kong with an additional office in Guangzhou, China. He has worked as lawyer in United Kingdom, France and Hong Kong. He has been a senior partner of Robertsons since 1989.

Mr. Lintern-Smith is currently active in China-related legal projects. The firm specialises in introducing overseas companies into China and has acquired solid expertise in the administrative and legal steps necessary for overseas ventures in mainland China.

Mr. Lintern-Smith is a director of RD Secretaries Limited which has been providing corporate and secretarial services for overseas clients active in the entire south-east Asia region for the past 17 years.

A former President of the Law Society of Hong Kong, he also sits as Chairman of the Europe Committee of the Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce and various statutory and judicial bodies such as the Judicial Officers Recommendation Commission which is responsible for making appointments to the Judiciary in Hong Kong, the Court of Final Appeals Rules Committee, the French Chamber of Commerce and the Inter Pacific Bar Association. He chairs the Hong Kong Law Society's Committee on Anti-money Laundering and is in regular dialogue with Financial Action Task Force, the Securities for Futures Commission and the Hong Kong Monetary Authority".
