Acitve practice since 1966. Certified Taxation Specialist with the State Board of Legal Specialization since 1974. Member: American Bar Association and American Bar Advisory Committee on Estate and Gift Taxes; California State Bar Association; International Tax Planning Association; Colorado State Bar Association; Santa Clara County Bar Association and Palo Alto Area Bar Association; former tax counsel to the Palo Alto Area Bar Association.

Former partner, Fenwick & West, Chairman, Trust and Estates Department. Practice encompasses domestic and international estate and tax planning; asset preservation; business counsel; and probate and trust administration matters.

Has lectured and written extensive to and for professional groups and other business associations, including the California Continuing Education of the Bar and the Practicing Law Institute.
